Changes in the GTS Executive Board and GTS Advisory Board

Gemeinschaft Thermisches Spritzen e.V., Unterschleißheim, Germany

The GTS AGM 2022 in Regensburg, Germany, elected a new GTS Executive Board. President Professor Kirsten Bobzin, Deputy Alex Kalawrytinos and Deputy as Executive Member of the Board Werner Krömmer were confirmed in their functions. Roelof Vedder was newly elected to the Executive Board to replace the former Deputy Christopher Wasserman, who did not stand for re-election. Roelof Vedder has been a member of the GTS Advisory Board since 2021 and has been very active for a long time with VTS, the Dutch Thermal Sprayers Association. Also a member of the Executive Board in his function as chairman of the GTS Quality Committee is Dr Felix Tiggemann.

GTS Executive Board by the 2022 GTS AGM. He succeeds Christopher Wasserman (right), who did not stand for re-election at his own request.

Christopher Wasserman, who supported GTS as an advisory board member from 1998 to 2014 and as deputy board member from 2014 to 2022, is leaving the board at his own request. As a long-standing GTS member with his Terolab Group companies and as a very constructive member of the Executive Board, Christopher Wasserman was always keen to anchor issues such as "social togetherness" with us. He underpinned this commitment with the René Wasserman Award. We are very grateful to him for this award, as it showed special appreciation to the nominated companies and the winners.

There were also changes in the GTS Advisory Board: At its last meeting, the GTS Executive Board appointed Julian Eßler as a new member of the Advisory Board. Julian Eßler from RS Rittel GmbH in Gladbeck has already been supporting GTS since 2016 as a member of the Quality Committee and, in his function as a GTS Advisory Board member, will now additionally support the GTS Executive Board in an advisory capacity. RS Rittel GmbH has been a member of GTS since 1993.
