ASM honours member of the GTS Executive Board
 

Peter Heinrich receives the award of ASM Fellow from the immediate past President and trustee of ASM, Roger J. Fabian.

A special honour, which has so far only been bestowed on a small number of German-speaking scientists and engineers, was accorded to GTS Executive Manager Peter Heinrich in autumn 2009, namely his election as a “Fellow of ASM International”. This award by the ASM Board of Trustees is only conferred upon the recommendation of a Fellow and is based on outstanding achievements in the field of materials science and materials engineering. Insiders therefore liken the title ASM Fellow to that of an honorary doctor.

Peter Heinrich was awarded this distinction for his numerous innovative contributions to thermal coating technology and for his exemplary commitment to and support of the international thermal spray community.
